Logo Design Questionnaire:

This is definitely not the fun part for most people but for your project to be successful we need some background information about you and your visions. There are certain questions we like to ask clients prior to beginning the logo design process to ensure clarity. It may seem like a long list, but it is helps us to know what you need and expect from your finished logo/branding. It also helps to clarify your own vision for your business branding. Please take a little while to fill in this questionnaire where possible:

What is the name of your business?

Describe in one sentence your business/service

If you are not a new business start-up – what are the reasons you want a new logo?

What is your business short term and long-term goals?

What do you want your new logo to achieve?

Who are your main competitors and how do you differ from them? (Product, expertise, customer service, other…). Please list their websites if any

What do you like or dislike about your competitor’s branding? What are your thoughts about their logos? How do you want your logo to differ from their logos?

Who are your potential clients?

Where will your business be publicized?

Do you have a specific idea in mind for your logo?

What attributes of your business would you like your logo to reflect?

Do you want to use existing brand colors or a particular range of colors?

Are there any colors that you do not want to use?

Do you have a particular font you would like to use – or ones you definitely do not want to use?

Do any existing logos appeal to you & why? If so, please provide a link to a picture of each logo.

What words should describe your logo?

What message or emotion do you want your logo to portray?

What is the overall message you want to convey to your target audience?

If your customer came away with just two thoughts about your business what would you want them to be?
